Also Comcast has made a big push for HD On Demand content with much of it free of charge.
Comcast has many free HD Movies On Demand along with some content from Discovery, Cartoon Network, TNT and NGC to name a few of them.  These are all free to all digital HD customers.

Also Comcast has quite a few HD movies from both Starz and Encore that are free for Starz and Encore customers with an HD box.  This HD On Demand content will be greatly increasing over this current year 2007.

Comcast also is planning to add switched digital video technology to compete in the future for new HDTV channels.  Switched Digital Video (aka SDV) is just a way to increase their bandwidth.

Comcast will soon be rolling out Motorola Follow Me TV which will allow multiroom viewing over your existing coax cables.  This will allow you to playback a DVR recorded show in another room with any digital cable box.

Comcast is also going to start rolling out Tivo software to all current Comcast customers who have the Motorola 34xx or 64xx series DVR boxes.  This will cost extra but all that must be done is to call Comcast to order it and the software will download and install on your current DVR box all on its own.
After that is done your existing remote will work for just the core basic DVR features until you get the new Comcast Tivo peanut remote that Comcast will mail to your home.  You may be able to pick this remote up ahead of time but that is unknown at this time.

Comcast will also start rolling out in some markets a new Panasonic HD DVR that will feature a 250GB hard drive or bigger.  This box at rollout "will not" support Tivo but will within several months after.  This Panasonic box along with all existing DVR boxes will get a brand new iguide update that is said to be far far far better than the current iguide available today.

Also for you digital voice customers most of you now have unlimited long distance calling to Canada now.
